I am a data scientist/computational mathematician whose work bridges statistics, topology, differential geometry, and graph theory, particularly within machine learning.Studied Biostatistics/Machine Learning & Medicine and Healthcare at University of Miami. I am also a Xennial with an entrepreneurial spirit but little exposure to tech before graduate school.

I took college courses/did internships/audited adult education classes at a variety of local universities as a kid, then entered Marquette University's Honors College on scholarship as a junior (studied a wide range of subjects and graduated with 3 major concentrations and upper level/graduate coursework in another 10 areas spanning humanities, social sciences, and physical sciences). I attended University of Miami's MD/PhD program (on scholarship and stipend) until switching into their Biostatistics Department for graduate study related to machine learning and topology applications in statistics (particularly psychometrics). While at University of Miami, I attended several workshops in topology and differential geometry through the mathematics department, poetry workshops through the creative writing program, and took several courses in epidemiology.

I don't actually know my IQ (and wouldn't post it even if I did). I hit too many ceilings on tests administered when I was young to get an accurate number, and when I took out-of-level tests through talent searches, I started hitting ceilings on them, as well. (Czyli IQ koło 200...)

Having more opportunities as a kid probably could have helped me better reach my potential (lots of hostility thrown at my parents and me early in my education and getting blocked by age requirements), and I try to communicate scientifically-based information about IQ/high ability to others (through Quora and other avenues) and advocate for students who aren't getting the opportunities that can help them find themselves and use their potential.

My personality and finding a few mentors along the way probably made the difference in my life between permanently dropping out of education and getting to where I am now. It was not an easy route and not one I'd voluntarily go through again.

Have you ever felt like your IQ score does not represent your true intelligence?

Yes. After my head injuries, it’s very, very difficult for me to follow what people are saying out-loud for periods of time without help. Many subscores are probably still very high, and I’ve done well on certain parts of standardized tests, but there are verbal parts of me and parts of my short-term memory that don’t exist anymore. Can figure out anything spatially, though!

Doubtful 20 years later in life that anything is going to help. I wasn’t diagnosed for years after the injuries and was told by my neurologist that there’s no treatment at this point.

If it’s not FDA-certified or approved by FDA studies, it’s not worth the risk that it might kill people later on. I don’t put weird substances in my body without real science behind it.

@Morthgar: do tego ona ślepo wierzy w zalecenia FDA, a FDA poleca leki, które niszczą zdrowie albo nie mają zbytniej skuteczności. Tak jak SSRI mogą prowadzić do samobójstwa. O neuroleptykach szkoda gadać. Człowiek z IQ 200 wierzy ślepo innym.
