Now, picture yourself with a toy vehicle that operates on a track. The automobile is usually slowed down by the bumps and obstacles on the course. Imagine now that the automobile is an electric current, much way electricity flows via wires.

Superconductors are similar to electric current's magic tracks in a toy vehicle. The bumps and hurdles go away when we chill the track down to nearly as cold as space. The vehicle (electric current) may then travel at breakneck speed without encountering any resistance. That's what occurs with superconductors; at extremely low temperatures, they allow electric current to pass through them without any resistance. It seems like a really fast, incredibly smooth ride for our miniature automobile!
