Charles Leclerc had OTHER OPTIONS before committing his future to Ferrari.
Leclerc revealed his manager Nicolas Todt held talks with rival teams, while Motorsport reports Mercedes, McLaren and Aston Martin were among the potential alternatives.
Todt had previously approached Mercedes about Leclerc replacing Lewis Hamilton, while discussions were also held with McLaren. Aston Martin is understood to have made an approach late last year.
But Leclerc chose to stay:
“I don’t want to give up on my ultimate goal, which is to become a world champion with Ferrari.”
