@Dej_mi: yes, i've played around with 3D and tried to make a game, but there were some performance problems i could not solve so i had to shelve the project.

that's a good question. i chose Godot because i was already familiar with it, also it is a very lightweight engine. being free and open source was the cherry on the top ( ͡º ͜ʖ͡º)

I can't see using Godot for anything else than prototyping anything.
Lack of true Oop is a big deal for me. I'm not a big fan of dynamic tying either :(
