Wczoraj opublikowałem krótką listę tzw. "false friends", natomiast dzisiaj rozkręcam nową serię - "Często mylone słowa", z którymi problem mają nieraz nawet osoby władające danym językiem na co dzień. Oczywiście startujemy z językiem angielskim. Poniżej prezentuję przykłady zdań, żeby mieć lepszy pogląd na sytuację. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

@MaKor: "couple" znaczy dosłownie "para" lub "parę", czyli "couple hundred" to "parę stów" - przy czym w języku angielskim dużo częściej niż u nas parę znaczy dokładnie dwa (ale i tak nie zawsze).
