How to get files on the iPad? It's simple: you don't. First tried to connect with USB to a laptop. No dice, it can't act as a normal storage device. Only as camera so you can download (but not upload) pictures. So, I put the files on dropbox so the ipad can download them. No, it can't. It only lets you view them online, the download button doesn't work. What idiot designed this device? There's no network in an airplane so users are not supposed to use their iPads if there is no network? That makes it a rather expensive tray for your coffee...

After reading a bunch of braindead "how to get movies on an ipad" articles (all saying either "buy them in iTunes" or "unlock your device" or "install this expensive app") there was the tip to install the free Dropbox app and 'favorite' the files. But that app doesn't work on this iPad (some version problem). #fail

How can everyone be so like "Apple has it all right" while the most SIMPLE thing in the world (put a movie on the iPad so you can watch it in the plane) is so complicated a nerd like me gives up on it? Sjees. Frustration.
