It’s black because there was already a trademark for the Nutella all in red. Two people went into business together and the second person had the idea to make the n black but the first one wanted to keep it red. Essentially, it was a matter of personal preference. Since the two couldn’t reconcile or compromise they split off into two companies. Obviously the masses preferred the look of the
