“Somebody like Pascal, I don’t need to put him in a car, because he’s in a car every week,” Lowe added.

“What’s most important for the team is to pick a driver line-up that gives us the best performance and the most exciting racing potential for 2018.

“There are some issues around advertising and Martini, but if it came to it I’m sure Martini will understand the importance, if that’s what we were to choose, to have the best line-up for racing rather than for advertising.

“We’ll cross that bridge if we need to. Age is not a factor in our primary objective, which is to pick the best line-up.”

Lowe said Massa’s hope of the team making its decision before his home grand prix in Brazil on November 12th “makes sense”, but Williams has not committed to making its mind up by then.

Jedyna nowość jest taka, że wiek to nie przeszkoda. Tylko jakie mogą mieć korzyści z zatrudnienia Niemca?

@the_white_crystal: to junior Mercedesa więc wiadomo jakie. Tylko Pascal to ostatnio z formą raczej bez szału i pojawia się pytanie czy Wolff go jeszcze w ogóle potrzebuje? Mają Ocona, Bottas sobie całkiem przezwoicie radzi a i tak jeśli pojawi się szansa to zatrudnią Ricciardo.

@tatwarm: Zniżka na silniki, to oczywiste. Zastanawia mnie jednak czy warto? Musieliby dać więcej niż za wyciągnięcie Bottasa, żeby na to poszli. Z Pascalem ciężko będzie walczyć o dobre miejsce w WCC, co może dać o wiele większy zastrzyk finansowy niż % na silniki.

Niezależnie od tego kto zostanie zatrudniony w Williamsie myślę, że na pewno nie będzie to Pascal. DTM czeka. Bardziej prawdopodobny jest wg. mnie Massa od niego.

w ogóle będzie ciężko walczyć o dobre miejsce w przyszłym roku. Renault i McLaren będą mocniejsze i Williams może nie dać rady dotrzymać im tempa przez cały

@raggan: To, że nie większych zmian w regulaminie, wcale nie oznacza że jest pewność na przykład co do tego, kto z grona Renault, McLaren, Wiliams, FI będzie na koniec przyszłego sezonu na wyższej pozycji. Jedynie co, to można się domyślać, że nie będzie sytuacji jak z sezonu 2009, gdzie nagle zespół z końca stawki dominuje cały sezon wygrywjąc 6 z pierwszych 7 wyścigów.

Williams może być za równo 4 siłą
