Two filter wheels are rotated in sync in front of and behind the PVS-14. The front filter wheel uses two unique [“special”] filters. The color information in the light entering the CVA is thus sequentially encoded into two channels of information.

2.

The light then enters the PVS-14 where it is amplified in the normal manner. The amplified sequential images are then displayed on the PVS-14’s phosphor
