The U.S. military said Friday that it had deployed radar systems and armored vehicles to northeastern Syria, weeks after a collision incident between the U.S. and Russian military vehicles in the region.

"These actions are a clear demonstration of U.S. resolve to defend Coalition forces in the ESSA, and to ensure that they are able to continue their Defeat-ISIS mission without interference," the statement added.
