@M-JGN: I honestly don't know, my job was to look for bombs so that is what I did. But I do think that it was all bullshit to justify a war, that should have never happened.( I will not answer any negative follow up questions for my answer here)
@sawcioo: War is not hollywood, when you are under fire you don't go to verify KIA you get the hell out of there. You shoot and you move! I did kick in doors and do a lot of foot patrols as well, so I have been shot at and I have shot at people and we will leave it at that. Your first MOS as a soldier is Infantry first or
1. What was your favourite activity in spare time while on mission in Iraq? 2. What there is to do in between patrols? 3. If you know and like movies, what is best and worst depiction of us military in movie?
@eloar: 1. Work out, Sleep, or Skype 2.Yeah try to buy stuff from the on base bazaars, play basketball or sports. Also sometimes they would have (watch)football nights or dance nights. 3. The Worst "The Hurt Locker" they would have died in like 2 seconds the best so far "American Sniper"
what do you think about events from 9/11 , was that planned mystification of US secret services and government or real act of terrorism aimed in to American citizens?
@TakiSeLogin: I still don't know the answer to that but, it is very sketchy just like when JFK got killed. A lot of the public encounters do not align with what the government so calls confirms. There is still no concrete proof to what really happened. I just don't see how man armed with box cutters could bring down a plane with no resistance at all.
@AnnaJ Did you hear about GROM (the Polish special forces) if so, what do you think about them. Do you know they never lost a man in any of their operations? There was one particular operation on oil rig, where the whole world watched how they will perform. After that they earned opinion of wery solid unit. If you heard about them, what do you think?
@Soviel: I just recently learned about the GROM, last night spent watching videos and reading about them. They seem badass and after see and reading what I found. I personally believe they do not get the exposure they deserve. Thank you and the other fellow on here for bring the GROM up. American or not I would like to be part of that elite unit
@AnnaJ: Can you tell something about first patrol, when you heard shot above your head? I want to say that i think, that soldiers like you fighting not for your superiors or America, your fighting for your budies from unit and to maintain your family in future. good luck :)
@michiiii: Well said you one the few that actually get it , thanks. The first time I took enemy contact(shot at) was right outside of Kirkuk City Iraq. We were just performing a normal routine foot patrol. The objective was to find a suspected bomb maker in the AO, we were equipped with TraceX a Explosive Detection Kit with plans to test his hands. In this particular area they really didn't
