@AnnaJ Skoro już wszystkie polityczne pytania zadane, to może z innej beczki? How did you deal with heat in Iraq? In various videos I see soldiers in full field uniform and flak/bulletproof vests and that seems horribly uncomfortable for the conditions there.
@maniak713: It depends on the part of Iraq you were in, I seen it snow in Mosul and also rain mud. In Kirkuk it was way hotter but, really the only way to deal with heat was to drink water. Also to take off your vest as much as possible , sometimes on really long missions we would take them off riding from place to place. But you had to be
1. What is the regular salary of Iraq soldier? Any additional benefits? Support for family? 2. How long you need to be a soldier to get a pension? How much is it?
@maci3j: 1. I don't know about Iraq soldiers! But American soldiers it depends on rank and time along with other factors. Yo do get additional money such as combat pay, hazardous duty pay, demo pay, jump pay, separation pay if your married and things like that. Family support is up to the soldier( if he/she trust the spouse with control of all their money) but they do have groups to help
@ZULUGULAa: It just happened that way,I had no intentions on ever getting married to a Polish woman or getting married at all. I was really happy with one night stands and no commitment with the women in America.
Popraw mnie ktoś, jak te zdania nie mają ładu i składu :)
Do you think the military intervention in Iraq was necessary? What do you think about the falsification of evidence on the use of chemical weapons by Saddam? What is the role of the media in informing about the armed conflicts on EAST (Syria etc.)?
@krzysssi33k: 1. No 2. Saddam did do it, he had been known to use it just like Bashar Assad is currently doing. 3. Media always puts a twist on everything, they display only what they want you to see. I hate the media and like most other people I just want the truth supported by facts.
@cdwdj: The most creative way had to be a pressure wire IED. They took wire that would normally be used for audio installation in a car and would pull it apart strand by strand and place cigarette filters between the strands. Then they would attach one end to the a battery and the other to the IED, once anything ran over the wires it would complete the circuit and set off
What about internal information flow in US Military? Are they trying to adress and explain to their soldiers every news about pending operations? I assume they allow people to use internet.
@pro_meth: Everything is on a need to know basis, a lot of time you do not find out about operation until right before they are underway or have already taken place. But there is always a lot of strategy behind the operations sometimes that will be explained. The only time you cannot use the internet is if someone dies, they blackout the internet until there family gets the proper notification. They
