Cześć I’m Oliver from England.
I’m a huge Norwich city fan who has seen them being promoted from League One, the Championship (as Champions, Runners up, and winning the playoffs at Wembley), and I have a huge love for Lechia Gdańsk and Poland.
In 2013 I was speaking to girl from Poland, and went to Poland for the first time. This developed my interest for the country, it’s culture, and language, and since she lived near Gdańsk I started to get interested in the local football team, Lechia, unfortunately being in Warsaw when Lechia played Barcelona.
Since then I have watched Lechia games online when I have had the chance.
While I am yet to see a Lechia game live, I visited the stadium last year and had a tour. I have currently seen 3 Ekstraklasa games (Śląsk v Cracovia x2 & Lech v Śląsk), all being Śląsk wins.
I had planned to go to Gdańsk to see the Trojmiasto derby this season, but because of work commitments I am unable. So I will definitely be going to my first Lechia game in the 2020-21 season.

The year is 1988, Górnik Zabrze won their 14th and currently most recent Championship, Robert Lewandowski was born, and massive strikes were taking place across Poland. It was also the year Mirosław Pękala retired from football aged only 27.
Mirosław was a wonderkid, the best player in Poland for his age group. He started playing football for Nysa Kłodzko and Piast Nowa Ruda moving to play with Śląsk Wrocław in 1977. He made his debut for Śląsk that August against Ruch Chorzów aged only 15 and is still the clubs youngest ever player. As a player he had the world at his feet, he could have gone on to achieve anything, but fatal mistakes were made along the way.
