A common septic tank system is a water tight package placed under the floor. It is generally around 9 feet long and 4 to 5 feet wide and 5 feet tall. This is then linked to the houses sewage. They may also be rectangle-shaped, or round and may be made of fiberglass, polythelylene or tangible.
