Two immediate vacancies have arisen with a leading Insurance company based just off Grafton Street. This household name is looking for a Senior IOS Developer & a Senior Android developer to work on a Greenfield project.
The successful candidate will lead the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. As lead developer you will have a creative and positive outlook when working as a part of our specialist team, but you will also value autonomy and must be willing to work in such an environment.
You must have a deep understanding of the importance of user experience and its implications on application development. As the lead IOS / Android developer you should be comfortable with user-centric design processes on a practical level.
You will have the development skills to be able to apply the concepts and complex services designed by the UX team into flawless high-performance end-user apps.
IOS Developer
•Acting as the lead IOS developer – you will be delivering across the entire app life cycle concept, design, build, deploy, test & release t app stores & support
•You will work closely with developers, product managers to conceptualise, build, test & realise the products
•You will implement complex responsive UI’s utilizing the native frameworks including animations
•Create compelling devise specific user interfaces
•Support our sales & production teams
Essential skills
•Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in IT, Computer Science, etc.
•Have 3+ years of iOS development experience.
•Expert in Objective-C, Core Services, Media and Cocoa Touch frameworks, developer tools (Xcode 5), and
•Have sound object-oriented programming skills.
•Expert understanding of networking, local data caching and multitasking on iOS.
•Solid experience with commonly used 3rd party libraries and services (e.g. AFNetworking and Urban Airship) services.
•Intimately familiar with iOS design patterns and coding conventions as well as Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and App Store Review Guidelines
•Experience with BLE and Arduino, a plus
You will have solid HTML, CSS and JavaScript development skills, and experience with task planning and estimating effort & experience working on small to medium‐sized teams. You will be up to speed with iOS 7 changes, new features and requirements. Examples of published of mobile applications on the App store or the Android market.
Android Developer
•You work directly with other engineers, developers, QA, system engineers, product owners and project managers on solving new and existing technical challenges.
•Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions.
•#!$%@? in design and code reviews.
•Keep up to date on industry trends and enhance existing development processes; measure and verify that new and old code has acceptable performance and scalability.
•Deliver accurate estimates, consistently meet project deadlines and provide regular feedback.
•Liaise and communicate with other mobile software engineers. Teach mobile coding techniques, assist with debugging issues and testing and also offer explanations around technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Essential skills
•Applied experience developing Android apps using Java (1–2 years’ experience required). Solid understanding of Java, the Android SDK, and Android Studio required.
•Familiar with version control repositories such as Git.
This is a role for a developer who will enjoy learning on the fly and be happy to explain new processes to technical/non-technical stakeholders alike. You will have a strong understanding of how and why unit testing delivers better solutions and speeds up maintenance. You will also have user interface implementation experience as well as experience of development using web technologies.
These positions represent excellent opportunities to join a reputable and growing coming who have strong investment in IT & development. You will be joining in a lead position & will have autonomy to direct a Greenfield project.
The salary on offer is 65k+ and you will receive 27 days annual leave, the working week is 37 hours with a fully subsidised canteen. You will also receive generous insurance discounts.
